Hot Stone Massage
Basalt stones heated in water become an extension of the practitioner's hands — smoothing tension out of tight muscles with warmth as much as pressure.
Book this courseWhat you'll learn
Hot stone massage is technique and equipment together. Heated basalt stones become an extension of your hands — smoothing tension out of tight shoulders and backs with warmth as much as pressure. Guests love it; practitioners love it because it lets them work deeply without wearing out their thumbs.
- Selecting, heating and safety-testing stones
- Placement patterns — spine, hands, feet, belly
- Working stones and hands together in one flowing session
- Client safety: temperature checks, contraindications, hygiene between sessions
Who this is for
Wellness practitioners who want to add a signature offering. Home learners who want to give someone an experience that feels like a spa visit. People who love the ritual and craft of the work as much as the physical technique.

Wen
Wen has spent a decade in massage and wellness — first as a practitioner, then as an entrepreneur who founded three massage centres of her own. Zenland is her teaching practice: the place where she passes on what she's learned, one student at a time.
She teaches the way she was taught: hands on the table, corrections in real time, no shortcuts. Wen teaches in English and Chinese, and works with everyone from complete beginners to wellness professionals adding a technique to an existing practice.
