Head and Scalp Massage
Ten minutes of head and scalp work does more for a tension headache than most medications. Learn the technique that hairdressers wish they'd had time to master.
Book this courseWhat you'll learn
Head and scalp massage sits in a category of its own — it can be given in a chair, over clothes, without any oil, and yet it produces some of the most immediate and profound relaxation of any technique. It's the go-to when someone has a migraine coming on, when a client is anxious before another treatment, or when you have exactly ten minutes to change how someone feels.
- The pressure points around the temples, occiput and crown
- Deep-scalp kneading without pulling hair
- Neck-and-shoulder-into-head sequencing
- Adapting the routine for chair, table, or bed
Who this is for
Hairdressers who want to offer more than a rinse-massage. Wellness practitioners looking for a short add-on that clients rebook for. People whose partners or parents suffer from tension headaches. Anyone who has ever wished they could take the pressure out of another person's head with their own hands.

She teaches the way she was taught: hands on the table, corrections in real time, no shortcuts. Wen teaches in English and Chinese, and works with everyone from complete beginners to wellness professionals adding a technique to an existing practice.
